Fundamental to our faith is the belief that we are all welcomed by God. The Church is not a club but a community of those whom God has welcomed and that welcome is for each of us.
As members of these Churches we live here in Kilburn, West Hampstead and surrounding areas and we come from many different parts of the world. Because this is our community it is important that we play a part in the life of the area and we do try to get involved with local groups and organisations as well as provide services and events ourselves.
We are aware that we are blessed with the resources of buildings and people and we use them in the service of others because we believe that we see God in our service of others.
Afternoon Tea for older members in the area
We regularly have afternoon tea for the older members of our community. This is normally on the first Tuesday of the month giving those who may want some company a chance to meet and get to know other people in the area. We provide refreshments, have a quiz and a game of bingo and spend a couple of hours enjoying each other’s company. If you would like to attend do contact us via the “contact us” page.
The Friendship Group for over 60’s
A long established and happy band of Church members and their friends meets every Thursday in the Parish Room at St Mary’s for chat, laughter and friendship. Many of the group members have lived in Kilburn for many years and they also take part in many other local activities.
The group hopes to reduce the isolation and loneliness that some older residents can experience and provide a safe place of warmth of friendship.
